We were able to meet the client’s budget by relocating existing equipment together with new equipment, creating a savings of over $60,000. CKC removed existing equipment from first floor building, transported twelve miles to new building, relocated to seventh floor. Some of the new equipment had to be broken down, carried up 7 flights of stairs and each piece re-assembled on site due to limitations of elevator size. Custom stainless steel was welded on site.

The Challenge:
CKC was successful in completing the project within budget and within a week, while bringing the existing space to current requirements. CKC took an existing kitchen space which was over twenty years old and created a better work flow environment for the employees, while replacing old equipment with new pieces that met their existing and future population. This work included fabrication and installation of new hood with ductwork and fan package as well as creating a new dish room. Removed existing walk-in to create storeroom, added new cooking, food warming and refrigeration equipment. Relocated service area for staff and reworked existing stainless steel on project with modifications. Also in the mix of equipment, we modified some existing pieces for ease of use.

The Challenge:
Taking an existing facility that was installed 14 years ago by our team, and working with the client to add a culinary kitchen. This included all the necessary kitchen equipment for the students to learn new culinary skills for today’s food service environments. Due to the use of the current kitchen and the new space for the culinary lab that was being constructed, CKC had a compressed time schedule to work in between the school holiday calendar to retrofit the current kitchen, and outfit the new space. All equipment was installed and operational by the time the students and staff came back from their holiday, and they were thrilled with the results.
